A British FinTech platform backed by entrepreneur, public speaker and global cryptocurrency influencer Brett King has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise more than £1 million.

London-based Nebeus describes itself as a full service financial services platform allowing its customers to buy, sell, store, lend and borrow cryptocurrency and is on a mission to create “a financially inclusive world”.

The start-up was founded in 2014 but the platform went live at the end of 2017. Since then, Nebeus claims to have already enabled €34 million worth of financial transactions and facilitated £1.9 million in peer-to-peer bitcoin loans.

Operating in 45 countries, plans for expansion into Europe, Asia & South America are underway. Nebeus is now looking to raise at least £1.1 million through its campaign on Crowdcube and has so far met 38 per cent of its target.

“We are thrilled that CrowdCube investors are sharing our enthusiasm for Nebeus’ future growth as we move from private to public phases of the crowdsale this week,” said CEO and co-founder Konstantin Zaripov.

“With over 38 per cent of our funding goal reached, we plan on scaling our business a lot faster.”

Zaripov has worked in private and Nasdaq-listed companies over the course of his eight-year career in FinTech, starting with his position as commercial manager at Centrica.

After founding an e-learning platform and following a successful exit, Zaripov has since held various senior positions in the FinTech industry.

Fellow co-founder and CTO Sergey Romonovskiy has been involved in the Bitcoin community since 2010.

Nebeus is also backed by world-renowned speaker and international bestselling author Brett King. He is also CEO and founder of Moven, a mobile start-up that has raised $44 million to date, and is known as “King of the Disrupters”.
