EliteSingles' parent company surpasses 40m global users
Online dating giant Affinitas has reached 40 million global registered users.
The parent company of premium online dating service EliteSingles, Attractive World and eDarling focuses on professional singles seeking long-term relationships.
More than half a million new members are signing up each month.
The company’s core English-speaking markets of the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada have seen an even stronger increase in registrations this year, with 92 per cent year-to-date growth for 2016.
“We are pleased to have achieved this milestone, with continuously strong growth in the number of new users across our core markets,” said Jeronimo Folgueira, CEO of Affinitas.
“Unlike many free online dating services, when it comes to user figures, we always focus on quality over quantity and have still managed to achieve great results.
“What we see is that more and more people are getting tired of casual dating and free apps with non-serious users.
“These people are finding a great alternative in EliteSingles’ premium service. The subscription prices, extensive questionnaire and restricted usage for paying members naturally attracts a more serious user to the platform.”

The announcement follows the company’s acquisition of French premium dating site Attractive World in October, securing its position as market leader in France for premium and serious dating.
“Our focus is on improving users’ experience to connect people who are seeking a serious, long-lasting relationship, with like-minded singles. We are thrilled with this momentum as we continue to affirm our leadership position within the serious dating segment,” added Folgueira.
EliteSingles was founded in 2013.
