Leeds tech company Ticket Arena and Event Genius has announced the creation of 11 jobs as part of a £3m investment.

The firm recorded over £50 million of sales through its online platform in 2016 and supplies event technology solutions to over 5,000 events every year across the UK, Europe and Asia.

It recently launched the Ticket Arena app on iOS and is preparing to launch a new consumer website.

Managing director Reshad Hossenally, who founded the company in 2008, said it hopes to deliver several innovations alongside international market penetration through the newly created roles.

“Our new business development roles signal our intent to increase our presence in the European events market,” he said.

“The additions we plan to make to our already talented team of in-house developers and designers will enable us to improve our Event Genius platform and deliver the innovations that we have in pipeline.

“With the £3m investment into the business and the new site well underway, it’s a seriously exciting time to be at the company and these new jobs are an indicator of our ambitions.”

Ticket Arena and Event Genius’ customers include Parklife Festival, Wales Rally GB, The Warehouse Project, Hideout Festival and The Great European Carnival in Hong Kong.
