Flipbook Studio grows services in expansion

Flipbook Studio has expanded its offering as part of a move into new, larger premises which will incorporate a full post-production service into its established creative multi-format output.

The Manchester-based team, which was set up in 2010 by entrepreneurs Ben Haworth and Andrew Lord, will move to a new location on Portland Street to join the West Village Creative hub.

Now with two dedicated edit suites for offline, online and Da Vinci grading, the suites will allow clients to work with Flipbook on all their moving image requirements.

The services range from animation, film and television, visual effects and motion graphics through to full post production services, including Audio.

Partnering with world-renowned 80Hertz to deliver audio solutions for VO and mix within Flipbook’s new studio, the company’s investment is intended to bolster the work they already do on commercials, digital content, video game cinematics, VR/MR and Broadcast television for global brands.

“The production model and work process has changed and so post production has had to evolve with that,” said creative director and co-founder Ben Haworth.

“When I started in Manchester over 20 years ago post production companies were very different, the client’s needs were different and studios were quite rigid in their service offering.

“Gone are the days of lengthy pre-post processes that delay the speed of production. Our new post production offering aims to modernise the post process and make it more flexible.

“Our aim is to be more open and to meet the sometimes complex needs of clients using our experienced team of digital artists for further support if required.

“I believe we’re now the only truly independent, full service post-production studio in Manchester city centre.”

Liam Rustill (formerly of Chief Productions) has recently joined the team to head up the post production department along with Ben Haworth.
