Frontline Healthcare has teamed up with Magento agency Vortex to optimise its growing online pharmacy business.
Rochdale-based Frontline is the owner and operator of Chemist.co.uk and recently raised half a million pounds growth capital with Funding Circle.
Leeds-based Vortex says it will help it keep up with the volume of transactions on their site.
“We are excited to align ourselves with forward-thinking eCommerce merchants,” said Vortex Commerce commercial director James Hyett.
“The Frontline team has some exciting plans and aspirations for the website that we are confident in helping them to challenge the status quo of the industry in regards to experience, service and product offering.
“We plan on working closely together drawing on their experience of the industry and our experience of the platform and development.”
Frontline managing director Brent Cutler said: “Online shopping for Pharmacy and Health & Beauty products has grown enormously in the last few years and our customers appreciate the discretion and convenience of shopping directly with us.”
The pharmacy business has been operating on the high street for over 75 years and is now run by third generation family.
In 2014 the multi-channel business was set up with the development of an online presence on most major platforms as well as Frontline Healthcare’s online pharmacy, Chemist.co.uk.
