The chief executive of data intelligence specialist GB Group has hailed “another strong year” as annual revenues soared to almost £120m.

The AIM-listed company posted turnover of £119.7m for the year to 31 March 2018, an increase of 37 per cent from £87.5m a year earlier, while group profit before tax grew by 33 per cent to £13.4m.

The firm said its strong organic revenue growth was driven by international expansion, a growing customer base and “great people”.

“This has been another strong year for GBG across all of our core products and markets,” said CEO Chris Clark.

GB Group is headquartered in Chester and employs over 800 people across 18 countries. During the 12-month period, international revenues increased from 31 per cent to 34 per cent of its total business.

Clark added: “GBG is becoming a truly global business with more than 34 per cent of revenues coming from overseas markets.

“Today, our customers include more than 17,000 businesses and organisations, in 79 countries and we’re continuing to expand and invest in our operations in APAC, North America and EMEA.

“We believe there are exciting opportunities across all our sectors, in all our markets and that gives us great confidence for the future.”
