Video: How Manchester and Korea edit Samsung ads together

Technology

Cutting-edge technology means Samsung employees in South Korea can watch a film shoot in the UK via live link and help with the edit.

The innovative Foundry Film Studios in Salford Quays bills itself as an “artistic hub” and has been purpose-built for the creation of TV and advertising content, photography shoots and events.

In this video, managing director James Shannon takes us around the £1.5 million facility which is used to produce advertising content for the electronics giant and furniture firm Sofology, among others.

The 8,000 sq ft venue, adjacent to MediaCityUK, is home to two studios, including one of the largest infinity coves – an all-white space with no corners, beloved of photographers – in the North West.
