IT automation specialist PowerON has announced a record turnover just shy of £2m just three years after opening.

Based in Lincolnshire and Surrey, staff numbers have grown from just four to 30 within the same timeframe.

The firm’s turnover has grown from £128,000 in 2015 and is on target to hit £2 million during this financial year following notable contract wins in both the public and private sectors.

PowerON has now expanded into new headquarters in York to accommodate its growth and service its regional and national accounts.

The firm, which provides IT management and cloud automation solutions to organisations of all sizes, has signed a three year lease at the 1,290 sq.ft ground floor office at the recently refurbished Stanley Harrison House.

Solutions and services director Phil Mercer said: “Steve Beaumont and I spent a year researching and developing the plan for our business before launching with just two staff in 2015.

“Steve is a Microsoft most valuable professional with more than 20 year’s industry experience and my background is in developing solutions practices, both globally and in the UK, to deliver successful partnerships with customers to meet their business needs.

“We quickly won a number of public sector accounts, including a significant contract with the City of Wolverhampton Council and major projects with the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospital NHS Trust.

“Private sector work for a number of leading corporate organisations such as Stena Group, Drax Group, Tesco and food giant Princes followed.

“With teams in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Surrey, our recent expansion into new offices in York is in response to a string of new appointments to service several more recent contract wins with British Land, GHD and Clifford Chance.

“We are also investing heavily in research and development and have an exciting new product set to launch soon at the Microsoft Inspire event in Washington DC.”

Steve Beaumont, product development director, added: “It’s been a successful and fast paced three years since our launch, and we plan to continue our growth and development as we carry on removing the complexity and high costs often associated with the management and implementation of IT Solutions.

“We have established a firm foothold in the market and a solid reputation for the quality and simplicity of our service, as well as offering an assured outcome to our customers.

“When this is combined with our upcoming product launches, it puts us in a strong position to continue growing and winning work in the public sector and also with well-known national and international businesses.”
