International media consultancy K7 Media has launched a VR Zone so clients and employees can experience state-of-the-art content and cutting-edge formats.

Based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, the firm recently began incorporating digital developments across VR, AR, and Video on Demand (VOD), into its series of daily updates.

The ‘Media VR Zone’ will enable the K7 team to offer demonstrations and talks on virtual reality to existing international clients, those working in the creative sector and local higher and further education establishments.

Projects director Phil Birchenall said: “An increase in the number of inbound enquiries regarding VR and 360 technology prompted our investment in this leading technology.

“The purpose of our new ‘K7 Media VR Zone’ is to offer our clients the opportunity to experience the very latest in virtual reality.
“We have been tracking this emerging technology for years and it increasingly features in our daily, weekly and monthly media reports.

“Our global client base wants to learn more about it, and we’re ideally placed to bring our insight to this rapidly developing field.”

The ‘Zone’, which will be brought online before the end of this month, will include a high-end Oculus Rift device alongside the Google Daydream, powered by the latest Google Pixel smartphone.
