Manchester is seeking India’s fastest growing digital companies to join its world-class ecosystem as part of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 – the contest that recognises India’s emerging and most dynamic tech businesses.

With the second largest ecosystem in the UK, key figures from Manchester’s inward investment agency (MIDAS) will visit some of India’s key IT hubs to attract the country’s top firms to the North of England and build new and existing relationships within the market.

As a critical market for Indian investors, Manchester will also showcase its strengths in digital excellence.

To attract top performing companies in India’s thriving tech sector, MIDAS and Deloitte India will host sessions with  Deloitte Fast50 shortlist on Monday 22 October in Delhi, Tuesday 23 October in Mumbai  and Friday 26 October in Bangalore.

MIDAS is also offering five of Deloitte’s 2018 Technology Fast 50 winners the opportunity to win a generous establishment support package to set up their business in Manchester.

The prize also includes free flights to Manchester in April 2019 and three nights in deluxe accommodation.

Manchester has a strong digital infrastructure and the UK’s second highest proportion of tech companies looking to make a home within the city region’s flourishing hubs, such as MediaCityUK.

Home to ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, Hero Cycles, 42 Gears, Welspun, HCL & TCS, Manchester has established itself as a business destination of choice for Indian companies.

India is central to Manchester’s highly successful Internationalisation strategy, intended to strengthen relations and create further bilateral trade opportunities.

“The Deloitte Fast 50 is an effective way for Manchester to promote its world-class digital and technology offer and attract some of India’s most exciting high growth companies to the city,” said MIDAS director of business development Dan Storer.

“With the support of our partners, this year’s Manchester establishment package promises to be bigger and better.

“Manchester’s creative, digital and technology cluster is already one of Europe’s most significant centres and provides the ideal environment for Indian high-growth companies to thrive.”
