MIPIM: The Neighbourhood launches VR estate agent

The ‘world’s first CGI-standard virtual reality tool for property agents’ has been unveiled by Manchester’s The Neighbourhood at the MIPIM property expo in Monaco.

ReView allows agents to showcase an entire property to prospective tenants regardless of where they are in the world through virtual reality.

After donning a headset, prospective tenants can move rooms, see properties if they had been decorated differently, adjust furniture layout, and have a look out of the building’s windows.

The technology took eight months to perfect, and can now demonstrate the “real scale” of properties to customers hundreds of miles away.

Andy Buchan, head of digital at the Neighbourhood, told ProlificNorth: “As a company who thrives on solving problems we took an entrepreneurial approach and built a team dedicated to creating the perfect marketing tool for property agents.”

He added: “The agent and the prospect can meet virtually in the space and hold a demonstration which is amazing, that together with the view outside the windows and the option for the furniture to be reconfigured to the prospects needs, make ReView technology a world first.”

The Neighbourhood’s Jane Chambers and her VR team have created polished interiors which the firm describes as an incredibly lifelike experience.

Founded in 2006, the Manchester-based business already works with the likes of JD Sports, Marketing Manchester and Almacantar.
