London-based location targeting and data specialist Mobsta has unveiled plans to open a new office in Manchester.

The new base will be headed up by Adam Meli, formerly digital account director and mobile lead at media agency MEC Manchester. He will be joined by sales account manager Max Owen.

The pair will report into Maxwell Jasper Brown, head of sales at Mobsta, who said: “I am really thrilled to have Adam and Max joining the Mobsta team and opening our Manchester office in Spinningfield.

“They will be instrumental in our efforts to drive much stronger partnerships with our agencies and advertisers and bring with them a wealth of experience.”

Meli added: “I have loved working at MEC for the last seven years. It’s been a great place to work with fantastic people, but the opportunity at Mobsta was simply too good to turn down and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”

Mobsta is described as one of the UK’s leading specialists in location targeting and audience profiling techniques.

It has the exclusive rights to Placecast mobile data management platform (DMP) that aggregates location data and user behaviour across different devices in the physical world and translates it into audience segments that can be targeted through mobile advertising campaigns via its Demand Side Platform (DSP).

The platform delivers a rich understanding of the relationship between users and locations over time, enabling them to make smarter marketing decisions.
