Tina Howell of AND Digital is the latest name to be confirmed for our breakfast event focused on the Leeds digital sector.

The platform lead joins some of the biggest female names in the Leeds tech sector for the event at 3 Sovereign Square on October 2nd.

Also confirmed are Anne Dornan, head of innovation at Bruntwood; Eve Roodhouse, chief officer, economic development, City of Leeds; and Laura Harper, partner, head of intellectual property, creative & digital Industries, ICT law, Shoosmiths.

BusinessCloud has joined forces with regional property company Bruntwood for the breakfast, which will also hear from James Gupta, founder & CEO, Synap;  Richard Ellis, managing principal – Digital Retail, Answer Digital;  Adam Hildreth, CEO, Crisp Thinking; Alex Epstein, chief marketing officer, Big Change; Mark Fordyce, managing director, York Data Services; and Martin Stow, director, Nexus.

With 1,350 digital companies employing 10,000 people, the city is riding the crest of a digital wave but the competition has never been hotter.

Leeds already hosts the largest digital festival in the North while the success of the Platform building underlines the sector’s credentials.

However the competition posed by Manchester and Birmingham has never been more intense in Leeds, which has added to the tech recruitment challenge in the city, with more than half of digital companies reporting a problem.

The event on October 2nd runs from 8am-9.30am.
