Peter Woodbridge, senior lecturer filmmaking, MMU
Peter Woodbridge researches the convergence between filmmaking and immersive digital technologies.
He teaches on the Filmmaking and Creative Multimedia programmes across a range of areas including specialisms in cinematography, digital innovation and future media.
His research explores mixed reality (augmented reality, virtual reality), digital interactivity and cross-media storytelling design. He is currently developing an AHRC funded PhD at the University of Liverpool, School of the Arts.
He has been involved in a number of nationally and internationally funded digital media research projects from organisations such as the AHRC, UNDP, JISC and ERDF.
In 2014 he was awarded a fellowship at the Royal Society of the Arts (RSA) for his work in developing education projects around using media for social and cultural change.
He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
