‘Pioneering’ loyalty card scheme to revitalise town centre

A town centre is seeking to boost local trade with a pioneering new loyalty scheme.

Twenty businesses in Hoole, Cheshire, have signed up to the scheme, including cafés, restaurants, bars and shops.

The Love Hoole Loyalty Card, which people can sign up for from this website or by using a tablet in participating businesses, will go live on Saturday November 5th.

Customers can donate their points to their favourite local charity or not-for-profit organisation, should they so wish.

It has been developed by loyalty reward specialist and local business Loyalty Pro.

“This pioneering scheme will benefit the whole Hoole community, with instant monetary reward vouchers for customers when they make a qualifying purchase from any of our participating stores,” said Loyalty Pro technical director Rob Meakin.

“The Love Hoole group will be able to relay offers, community information and event details to the cardholders via email, text, and at the counter on the tablet display.

“The beauty of the scheme is that customers only need one loyalty card for lots of different shops, which is much more convenient.

“Our research has shown that people like the added bonus of using their loyalty points to help a local charity.”

Love Hoole spokesman Kingdom Thenga said: “Too many town centres become stagnant and we welcome this opportunity to revitalise Hoole town centre, thank our loyal customers and provide an incentive for new people to visit the area.”
