Iron Maiden lead singer and airline pilot Bruce Dickinson is among the speakers for the QuickBooks Connect conference in London in March.

Dickinson, who is also a prolific air travel entrepreneur, will feature alongside business magnate Lord Sugar and broadcaster Gabby Logan.

It is the first time US accounting software firm Intuit, which provides accounting software for small businesses, is holding the two-day annual conference in the UK. The previous four events have been held in California.

Held on March 6-7 at Tobacco Dock in the capital, the event will also hear from entrepreneur James Caan, retail expert Mary Portas and 17-year-old tech entrepreneur Ben Towers.

Mark Wright, who won Lord Sugar’s reality TV programme The Apprentice in 2014, will host a digital marketing workshop.

His business Climb Online enjoyed revenues of £4m last year and is the most successful firm to emerge from the BBC show.

“QuickBooks Connect is an extremely exciting conference for businesses worldwide, and I am both honoured and delighted to be taking part in first UK event,” said Wright.

“The purpose of the conference is to help businesses grow and develop – which is exactly what I will support in my workshop.

“If implemented and managed correctly, digital marketing is one of, if not the most effective tools for growth and development no matter the size or sector your business operates in.”
