Energy tech firm UD Group has made a number of additions to its senior leadership team in order to support its next phase of growth.
The rapidly growing platform provider for the energy and utilities sector has seen its team swell by 83 per cent in the last 12 months thanks to several major contract wins in the energy and water retail sector, as well as entry into the US market.
The growth has been reflected in the appointment of Tim Darbyshire as chief finance officer, Spencer Clarkson as chief technology officer and Mo Tarki as head of product & marketing.
The group – which provides online portals which suppliers and brokers can use to deliver the best deals to customers, based on their usage, and register new clients – is eyeing further expansion internationally.
CEO Simon Cook said: “We’re enjoying a period of sustained growth so it’s vital that we have the knowledge and expertise to support that.
“Their experience is going to be invaluable as we add scale to our platform and develop its suitability for new markets at home and overseas.”
Prior to joining UD Group, Darbyshire spent over five years working in the Better Capital portfolio as group CFO of both m-hance Group, a leading software VAR, and Calyx Managed Services, an innovative IT services provider.
Clarkson joins the business from Advanced Computer Software’s legal division while Tarki has been recruited from public sector software specialist Idox PLC.
