Why the BBC needs more digital talent
Christine Bellamy spoke with Chris Maguire
The BBC is not immune to the challenges of finding talented recruits, according to a senior executive.
Christine Bellamy is the head of product at BBC Education and is responsible for online education and BBC Food content, which attract six million users ever week.
In an interview with editor Chris Maguire, she says the national broadcaster often loses digital talent because it does not pay as much as other organisations.
She also addressed the issue of whether the BBC employs enough local people at MediaCityUK in Salford Quays and talks about the importance of digital to the Beeb.
Bellamy was speaking at the recent digital summit called by Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham.
