Mental health organisation Big White Wall found that winning a Digital Entrepreneur Award in 2015 increased the profile of their work.

A platform to provide support for mental health conditions, Big White Wall provides 24-hour-a-day support without the need for a professional referral.

The organisation works with the NHS, the armed forces, employers and universities with its software available online or through an app.

BWW’s Barry Hughes said claiming the technical innovation within the public sector award showed that a new model for the delivery of public services is possible.

“Being recognised by our peers as a leading digital enterprise strengthens our argument that there is a sustainable and credible model for change to the way public services are delivered,” he said.

BWW has since expanded in both the UK and US, with a total of 60 staff in those nations and New Zealand.
