ANS buys Manchester agency Webantic
Cloud services provider ANS Group has acquired Webantic, a cloud transformation and app development specialist based in Manchester.
Webantic helps organisations build new applications and experiences for the digital area. The company was founded in 2011 by Luke Grimes and Calvin Evans.
ANS said the undisclosed acquisition bolsters its ability to offer end-to-end managed cloud services.
"We are excited about this next chapter and are delighted to have found an organisation that shares our vision and passion for innovation," said Webantic managing director Luke Grimes.
"We believe that ANS is the perfect platform for growth and opportunity for the entire Webantic team."
Paul Shannon, chief executive at ANS, added: "Webantic brings outstanding expertise in the development of complex cloud-native applications. Like us, it’s a business that has a focus on customer need whilst delivering exceptional technical solutions.
"These are foundations that make for an exciting future together.
"The acquisition of Webantic means that our customers will now have a single point of expertise for cloud application development, migration and management services as well as cloud ready networks."
Webantic was represented by Manchester law firm Kuits and ANS was represented by Weightmans.
