Mobile technology group Apadmi is targeting ambitious growth plans with the appointment of a new chief strategy officer to its team.

Marcus Hadfield joins the firm from McCann Manchester to add even more customer insight to Apadmi’s eighteen years’ mobile experience and to help its expansion into full service mobile solutions.

Hadfield said: “I’ve always loved working with innovative clients to help find creative solutions to their business problems.

“It’s no secret that mobile is permanently changing the way that organisations and customers do things, so to be part of the team who I think have the best mobile talent and experience in the UK to deliver new kinds of solutions is really exciting.”

Apadmi founder and chairman Garry Partington said: “Bringing Marcus on board is a huge accomplishment for the company.

“Marcus was the managing partner of one of the most respected digital and marketing agencies in the UK, and it’s fantastic that he has decided that Apadmi is the place to go for his next venture.

“The ever evolving technology industry, with Apadmi leading across mobile, big data, analytics and IoT, is the most exciting place to be at the moment.

“Marcus’ extensive background in brand strategy and client focused solutions makes him the perfect person to take up this new role in our business. With his expertise, we can focus on exploring new avenues for innovation, creativity and business growth.”

Prior to six years at McCann, where he was managing partner, Hadfield held senior digital roles in London, with MRM Meteorite and Omnicom.

With nearly twenty years of integrated agency experience, he has delivered award-winning campaigns in multiple channels and markets, for clients including American Airlines, Expedia, Costa Coffee, CrossCountry Trains, Wyndham Vacations, Which?, Argos and Homebase.

The company’s new appointment comes alongside news that it is building an even stronger innovation offering with the formation of dedicated research and development unit Apadmi Labs, and recent new investments and technology partnerships from Apadmi Ventures.

Founded in 2009, Apadmi works with organisations to identify what challenges they face in their business and advise how the right technology can help grow revenue, reduce costs and create competitive advantage.
