A new app aims to bring the Anfield matchday experience closer to Liverpool fans all around the world.

The free Stand Red app gives fans the opportunity to experience the pre-match build-up.

Developed by Standard Chartered Bank, the app allows users to schedule a time for a video call from a Liverpool FC player which has been pre-recorded.

They can digitally touch the iconic ‘This is Anfield’ sign in the players’ tunnel 30 minutes before or during a match, with the tally of fans who have touched it visible inside the app.

The app also allows fans to unlock weekly matchday episodes and animated content by scanning their Liverpool shirt.

Last year Standard Chartered extended its shirt sponsorship deal with the Reds until the 2022-23 season.

The partnership began in 2010, making it the second-longest sponsorship deal in the club’s history.
