Experienced brand strategist Jessica Craker has joined fast-growth HealthTech Cera.

The technology-enabled home care provider has appointed former EdPlace CMO Craker as Director of People, Brand and Culture.

She will handle HR, recruitment, brand and marketing processes within Cera, which has also announced it is working with the Department of Health and Social Care to use its technology to provide a recruitment platform.

The platform will offer tens of thousands of jobs, with the aim to retrain those recently furloughed or made redundant from sectors such as hospitality, restaurants, travel and cleaning and alleviate the current pressure on the care sector.

Founder and CEO Dr Ben Maruthappu MBE recently told BusinessCloud of his plans for AI-enabled Cera, which predicts health deteriorations before they occur, following the £30m+ acquisition of Mears Care.

Craker brings more than 15 years’ experience managing integrated brand and customer strategies within corporate challengers, start-up and hyper-growth companies to her new role at Cera.

She has also held key brand roles at Orbitz, Harley-Davidson Motor Company and unicorn Ovo Energy.

CEO and founder Dr Mahiben Maruthappu MBE said: “With over 15 years in brand strategy roles across multiple sectors and technology playing a key role in each, Jessica is bringing a significant amount of experience to Cera.

“Jessica will be focused on our people and how we can empower them to do what they do best. Care.”
