eCommerce retailer N Brown Group has announced the appointment of Rachel Izzard as its new group CFO.

Izzard will join the eCommerce retailer after more than four years as CFO of airline brand Aer Lingus. She will bring to the role more than two decades of experience in financial positions at British Airways and International Airlines Group.

Izzard will replace Craig Lovelace in the role, who has resigned to take up a new position after nearly five years at the company.

Lovelace is said to be working with group chief executive Steve Johnson to ensure an orderly handover.

The appointment marks the latest in a series of senior hires for the Manchester-based firm, which employs over 2,400 people across the UK via its call centre in Manchester and main warehouse on the outskirts of the city.

Yesterday it was announced that Vicky Mitchell, the former COO of listed credit card issuer Capital One Group, would join the firm as a Non-Executive Director.

Former Oasis and Warehouse Group managing director Sarah Welsh was also announced as the firm’s retail CEO, a newly created role.

Its chief product and supply officer Ralph Tucker left the company this month to join online furniture retailer The Cotswold Company as CEO.

Earlier this month the eCommerce retailer behind the Simply Be, Jacamo, Ambrose Wilson and JD Williams clothing brands slashed its profit forecasts for 2020.

It now expects its adjusted profit before tax to be in the range of £70-72 million, down from the previous guidance of £78-84m.
