Chatterbox is an online language learning service that trains and employs refugees as language tutors.

The start-up was founded in 2016 by Mursal Hedayat, a refugee from Afghanistan who fled the country as a three-year-old in 1994. She arrived in the UK with her mother, a civil engineer who spoke four languages but struggled to find work.

The enterprise was created to find meaningful work for the under-utilised talent of refugees.
