Customer insights firm Decibel raises $17m

London-based customer analytics platform Decibel has closed a $17m round led by Draper Esprit.

The round, which also included investors Eight Road Ventures and John Simon’s Ventureforgood investment entity, will be used to improve its user experience-focused technology and to expand its presence across Europe and North America

Its platform captures and quantifies website visitor’s behaviour with the assistance of machine learning, to pinpoint problem areas on brands’ websites and apps.

Its more than 250 clients include LEGO, Sony, Siemens, British Airways and Tesco. Its headquarters in London are one of six locations which also include Berlin, Madrid and three US offices.

Since its launch in 2014 the platform has secured integration and partners, including Adobe and its Premier Partnership.
