Dan Riley established Spearhead Interactive in 2013 following a four year tenure in academia pioneering R&D into the use of online virtual worlds and 3D software to solve commercial business challenges.

During this time, Dan evaluated more than 300 virtual world platforms, conceived the world’s first virtual worlds search engine, spoke at international conferences and had research papers published.

Specialising in the development of virtual and augmented reality solutions, alongside real-time 3D software and immersive and engaging content experiences for B2B clients, Spearhead Interactive was a finalist at the Thinking Digital awards within three months of trading; by the end of the first year the business had won a UKTI Exporting for Growth prize and was listed as one of the top 100 start-ups of 2013.

The business has evolved significantly, growing organically into an Emerging Technology Agency and providing a diverse range of services and solutions in strategy, consultation, technology, digital, and interactive software to corporate and commercial clients of all sizes across more than 16 different industries; regionally, nationally and internationally.
