Declan Hadley, digital health leader, Healthier Lancashire
Declan has worked in the NHS for over twenty years.
He started his NHS career as a Psychiatric Nurse, moving quickly into Information Management in the 1990s where he worked in a number of different roles across the North West.
In 2001, Declan took on the role of Health Informatics Director at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, where he led on the development innovative mobile solutions and new clinical applications to support an agile workforce.
More recently, Declan has acted as Programme Director for the North West Coast Connected Health Cities Programme and Digital Associate for the Innovation Agency North West Coast.
Declan is presently part of the Lancashire & South Cumbria Change team leading on the development and delivery of a digital health strategy for the region.
Declan’s current area of interest is exploring how consumer-centric technology can be used to empower people, giving them access to their own health data and enabling them to use it to improve their health and wellbeing.
