The latest panel at annual innovation expo Venturefest North West 2019 has been revealed.

Taking place in Manchester, it will this year include series of themed panels, enabling delegates to engage directly with experts in their sectors.

Amongst those debating ‘The Role of Culture and Structure in Innovation’ will be former winner of the Queen’s Award for Innovation and Forward Ladies/HSBC Business Woman of the Year 2017, Susanna Lawson, CEO of OneFile.

The firm, also based in Manchester, provides learning software for vocational training and was named Business of the Year at the 2018 Greater Manchester Business Awards.

“It’s an honour to be invited to this panel session and have the opportunity to share some of my personal learnings and insight which I hope will prove helpful for other entrepreneurs and business leaders in the tech sector,” said Lawson.

“While there is no silver bullet for effective innovation, there are some essential ingredients that can help build a thriving business culture to carry strong ideas forward. I’ll be outlining how our fantastic team at OneFile are responsible for driving our innovation and I look forward to learning from others in the room too – if there’s one thing that’s certain about business; you never stop learning.”

Also on the morning panel is David Levine, Founder of DigitalBridge, a tech platform for home design retailers that recently received £3 million in investment from private equity investors Maven.

The session will be chaired by FJ Rutjes, one of the advisors on GC Business Growth Hub’s digital, creative and tech focused Amplify programme.

Sam Burgess is CEO of SamsonVT, which creates 3D interactive models from engineering data, and is based at The Innovation Centre, Sci-Tech Daresbury, while Christiane Hutchinson, CEO of Manchester-based Biramis, runs a management consultancy that is developing a digital diagnostic tool to help business owners understand how close they are to running a business for value rather than just growth.
