Maria is the newly appointed director for the Maker Space at the University of Salford.

The Maker Space is an iconic engineering masterplan for rapid prototyping, innovation and manufacturing on high-end 3D printers and scanners, with access to robotics, waterjet cutters and multi axis milling machines, including future gazing technologies such as VR and AR.

Maria is a well-known ‘Imagineer’ of all things digital, and has fostered her passion for creative technology and interactive design in both commercial and technical roles.

Most recently she was head of digital as the BBC Academy and head of PlayStationFirst, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s University Game Development Academy, bringing PS4 and PSVR tools to the next generation of PlayStation developers.
