eCommerce platform Teespring is celebrating the acquisition of notable creators and celebrities with the launch of a ‘Branded Stores’ product.
Branded Stores will allow its users to fully brand the customer experience while using Teespring’s customised product fulfilment services.
The US-founded firm, with a London office, has partnered with Instagram to offer a new shopping feature that up until now has only been available to 26 exclusive brands, including Prada, Nike & Zara.
Teespring is the first partner to enable this for individual content creators.
Instagram Checkout will be offered to top Teespring creators using Branded Stores.
This latest integration comes in addition to the YouTube merch shelf, Twitch Merch extension and subscriber-only merchandise feature, all created by Teespring as industry firsts.
In the first few weeks of rolling out the product, Teespring said it had seen a huge influx of creators added to its roster of over 180,000 creators worldwide, including Jared Leto and his band Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Chris Lamontagne, Teespring CEO said: “Breaking down the barriers between content and commerce has allowed us to build deep integrations with great partners. Branded stores with Instagram integration has huge promise to create unique commerce moments for the world’s top creators”.
“For the past seven years we have built an incredibly robust end-to-end commerce infrastructure, we are continuing to adapt and evolve our product to what we believe, today, is a market-leading proposition. Providing the most simple yet powerful commerce tool in the space”
Earlier this year, Teespring announced profitable status and is on track to hit $1bn in lifetime sales.
Its newest board member, former Snap VP Nick Bell added: “The culmination of the newest capabilities alongside what the Teespring team have built over the past few years really positions this business as the number one destination for any content creator wanting to build their commerce business, we are incredibly excited by this next evolution for the business.”
