Entrepreneurs open up about mental health

A series of entrepreneurs will be opening up about their experiences of mental health at a special BusinessCloud event.

BusinessCloud has joined forces with business psychology expert Carter Corson to hear first-hand how people have dealt with their own mental health issues and from a number of experts in this field.

KPMG is hosting the early evening event at their offices at 1 St Peter’s Square, Manchester M2 3AE on July 3.

Sam Jones, co-founder and managing director of Tunafish, will speak about his anxiety attacks.

High-profile businessman Vikas Shah will speak about his own battle with depression to raise awareness of mental health.

Other speakers include entrepreneur Mylo Kaye, CEO of Dreamr, who spiralled into a “dark, cold place that I once called hell” after the sudden death of his uncle and Laura Wolfe, managing director of events business Wolfe, who suffered post-natal depression after the birth of her son Sami.

The final speaker to be confirmed is James Routledge, founder of Sanctus, who suffered anxiety attacks and is now helping businesses and teams talk about mental health.

The other speakers are Hannah Johnson, director of Carter Corson; Tom New, co-founder and CPO of Nudgr / Formisimo; and Jennifer Smith, senior associate, JMW Solicitors  and Trustee of Anxiety UK.

The event is being co-hosted by BusinessCloud editor Chris Maguire and Rupert Cornford, head of business at Carter Corson. It starts at 5.30pm with a drinks reception and finishes at 7.30pm.
