AI-powered social enterprise Logically, a tech firm created to tackle misinformation and restore trust in the news, has announced the appointment of Tod Lockard and Emma Haselhurst as its Chief Commercial and Operations Officer and Global Director of Communications and Public Policy respectively.

The duo bring extensive experience in operations, business development, public policy and communications to the Logically management team.

Founded in 2017 by MIT and Cambridge alum Lyric Jain, Logically leverages artificial and human intelligence to credibly curate news and social discourse.

Working with government bodies and social platforms, alongside consumer products, the company has offices in the UK and India, and is now opening an office in the U.S.

Lockard brings nearly 25 years of experience in building and scaling international companies both from the US and UK, and has significant expertise in the technology, news and media sectors.

The firm said Lockard will be central to the company’s rollout plans in the U.S. as well as spearheading the company’s growth into other new markets.

Haselhurst has over 15 years of experience in government relations, corporate communications and stakeholder engagement.

She has particular expertise in the sector having spent the last several years advising some of the world’s largest tech companies. While her role is a global one, she will also be focusing specifically on growing Logically’s profile and business in the UK.

Expanding beyond its offices in the UK and India, the company recently launched in the U.S. where it is gearing up to provide its election integrity efforts nationally, and in key battleground states, in advance of the November elections.

“It is a very exciting time for Logically as we are experiencing a period of rapid growth and the need for our services has never been greater,” said Lyric Jain, Founder and CEO of Logically.

“Tod and Emma bring an enormous amount of experience to our team, and will be critical to lead and power the expansion of the business in the coming years. They fully share my ambitions for taking Logically to the next level and I’m very much looking forward to working with them both.”

“Lyric has created a truly unique and special company which is providing an essential service to the growing challenges posed by misinformation and disinformation,” said Lockard. “I’m excited by the opportunity to support and drive the company’s growth in the US and around the world”.

“Logically is a company with a truly important mission at its heart,” added Haselhurst. “The work it does is central in helping to combat very real threats to our democracy and social discourse. I’m looking forward to doing everything I can to help the company succeed in that mission.”
