Global FTSE 250 professional services provider FDM Group has announces the appointment of Jacqueline de Rojas CBE as a non-executive director of the company with effect from October.

The news follows an announcement earlier today that de Rojas was stepping down from her position as a non-executive director of online electronics firm AO.

de Rojas, president of technology trade association techUK since 2015, is currently the co-chair of the Governance Board of the Institute of Coding.

She is also currently a non-executive director of smart infrastructure business Costain Group and property search platform Rightmove.

David Lister, non-executive chairman of FDM, said the firm was delighted to welcome de Rojas to the board.

“She is a highly regarded leader in technology in the UK, with a strong reputation as a champion of women in the sector, and as an advocate for diversity and inclusion,” he said.

“We look forward to benefiting from her experience and insights.”

de Rojas said: “Politically and economically it is a critical time for UK PLC to be facing a skills shortage in tech.

“I believe it is important to commit more time to diversity and inclusion as a way of solving this problem. It is within this context that I have decided to focus on skills and UK technology.

“I’m delighted to be joining FDM to play my part in supporting the UK to take advantage of its leading position as a leading digital nation.”
