Manchester analytics start-up Formisimo has appointed five new recruits to its team in MediaCity.

The company, which measures user behaviour in order to reduce form abandonment, has appointed Mark Edgeworth as CSO.

Edgeworth has worked for start-ups in the US, Europe and Asia and he also joins the Formisimo board.

Developers Harriet Ryder and Kerry Godsmark join via the NorthCoders scheme. Ryder had been with NorthCoders for two years as a tutor and Godsmark joins via the training scheme itself, having been at MIDAS prior to that.

The Formisimo sales team has expanded, with Alice Iball joining as business development executive, having been a sales executive at Pareto Law. Phill Wormwell becomes business development manager having spent two years in a sales role at 8×8.

“Our team in Greater Manchester support clients across the globe, and I’m proud to welcome the five new starters,” said Formisimo CEO Al Mackin.

“They join at the start of a period of significant growth. Our plans require an additional six new hires over the next nine months, along with additions to our board and support structure.

“As well as adding new, full-time members of staff we’re working with talented freelancers and local start-ups who support our marketing and sales efforts.”

Full stack engineer Harriet Ryder said: “I was excited to join the Formisimo team, as I’d heard great things about them.

“My first few weeks have been great, I really like the openness of the business and it already feels like I’m making a big difference.”
