eSports World Cup to run alongside 2022 FIFA tournament

eSports solutions provider Gfinity plc has announced its partnership with TRUXTUN Capital for the Esports Wega World Cup.

Gfinity will be the primary consulting and programme management partner for the event, which will include a number of popular games and culminate alongside the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals.

The tournament will be presented by Wega, the official acoustic contactless secured payment card of Manchester City FC and New York City FC. Wega was developed by Swiss financial technology provider TRUXTUN Capital.

Gfinity will plan and deliver a launch event to be held before the end of this year, alongside planning an annual eSports festival.
