HiBob, the transformative HR platform that is moving the industry from task-based functionality to people-inspired engagement, has appointed Joel Farrow as managing director.

Following five successful years at SAP, Farrow will lead the 45-strong UK & Europe team, which is growing to meet rapidly increasing demand.

The company has gained more than 300 fast-growing global clients, raised $25 million and won strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Aviva since it was set up three years ago.

Aiming to reinvent the HR experience using insight, data and personalisation, HiBob wants to change the way management and HR departments interact with employees as well as the way individuals and teams connect with their employer and with each other.

“HiBob is brilliantly solving a multitude of problems that I’ve encountered during my career in HR and enterprise sales,” said Farrow.

“HCM and HR platforms have been around for decades but the under-innovation has been shocking.

“HiBob pays heed to both employer and employee needs with loving attention. Its onboarding experience is unparalleled – which is a key early indicator of retention.

“At the same time, HiBob offers HR and team leadership all the basics, plus deep and textured data.

“This new level of insight includes gender balance and diversity, salary profiles and benchmarking, commuting distances and referral rates. All are key to identify retention opportunities and tackle churn risk.”

HiBob’s intuitive and user-friendly interface uses machine learning capabilities to improve employee retention through improved workplaces.

Features include Shout-Outs, Moments, surveys and ‘mapping’, which allow people to start clubs and forge more meaningful relationships.

HiBob co-founder and CEO Ronni Zehavi said: “It’s an extraordinary affirmation that someone with Joel’s extensive technology and HR experience has decided to lead HiBob in the UK and Europe.

“He is passionate about HiBob’s mission create a vibrant new role for HR in a world where it is essential to create environments which are ‘recipes for retention’ – those that motivate, inspire, connect and reward.”
