Hunt begins for North West’s tech stars

Technology

BusinessCloud is officially launching its search for the North West’s hottest tech stars for our inaugural ‘301 North West Tech’ list.

The UK is brimming with disruptive, fast-growing technology businesses and we want to make sure that companies from every part of the country are recognised.

It follows the success of our ‘101 Yorkshire & Humberside Tech’, ‘101 Midlands Tech’ and ‘101 North East Tech’ lists, which attracted tens of thousands of website page views and millions of impressions across our social media channels.

We’ve gone for 301 in the North West because we’ve already got more than 300 companies on the long list and the number is rising all the time.

BusinessCloud editor Chris Maguire said: “Everyone talks about London as being the UK’s crown jewel in terms of tech, but it’s no secret that some of the country’s most exciting tech firms are based in Manchester and the North West – and we intend to celebrate them.

“We’ve produced several widely shared website and magazine lists in 2018 and we’re only just getting warmed up.

“We’re committed to producing our lists for every area of the UK and we’d now like your help to find the North West’s most worthy nominees.”

Once all ten lists are completed a ‘list of lists’ will be created with the names of an estimated 1,000 of the UK’s best tech firms.

As well as our own research, BusinessCloud is engaging with senior industry leaders to get their opinions on who should be included.

The full list will be published on BusinessCloud’s website in early February 2019.

BusinessCloud’s previous lists also include ‘301 Female Tech Trailblazers’ and ‘101 FinTech Disrupters’.

Companies can put themselves forward or be nominated through the form below.
