Hunt is on to find 101 Midlands tech stars

The search is on to find the Midlands’ hottest tech stars for our inaugural ‘101 Birmingham and Midlands Tech’ list.

BusinessCloud is looking to compile a list of 101 businesses, featuring a mix of established tech firms, fast-growing start-ups and ones to watch.

If you’re a Midlands-based business driven by technology, then we want to hear from you.

BusinessCloud editor Chris Maguire said: “This is the first time we’ve done a regional list and we’ve decided to focus first on Birmingham  and the Midlands because it’s a hotbed of tech.

“Birmingham alone is home to over 3,000 tech companies and the city has become attractive – and more affordable – alternative to London.

“We want to recognise both the city and the region’s best and fastest-growing technology companies to show that there’s a thriving tech sector outside of London.”

“Our lists regularly get millions of impressions on Twitter and social media and we’re sure that will be the case this time,” added Maguire.

“Essentially we’re looking for companies who are doing something amazing with tech. It could be disruptive or it could be making waves globally. It can be any sector but it just has to have technology in its DNA.”

The ‘101 Birmingham and Midlands Tech’ list follows our highly successful ’51 Tech for Good Stars’, ’51 AI Innovators’ and ’35 Under 35′ lists.

BusinessCloud’s previous lists include ’51 Health Tech Pioneers’, ‘101 Female Founders’, 51 Tech 1sts’ and ‘101 Tech Start-up Disrupters’.

The closing date for nominations is 14th September and the full list will be published on BusinessCloud’s website.
