Jumpstart to sponsor UK Business Tech Awards
National R&D tax credits adviser Jumpstart has been named as category sponsor of BusinessCloud's inaugural UK Business Tech Awards.
Taking place on 20th November, the UK Business Tech Awards have been launched to celebrate the best of the country’s tech sector and recognise both individuals and businesses using technology to make a difference.
Jumpstart is sponsoring the 'Tech Company of the Year – Medium' category.
"We see over 1,000 SMEs a year and it's interesting how all of them are adopting technology to open up whole new markets," said managing director Scott Anderson.
"Technology is putting SMEs on the global stage, which they weren’t before, and helping to transform manufacturing processes.
"You've got an SME that's based in the Lake District that makes rucksacks – technology now allows them to target potential new clients around the world with pinpoint accuracy.
"We're sponsoring the UK Business Tech Awards because SMEs are the lifeblood of the economy and they’re our primary customers – it's a perfect fit for us."
The UK Business Tech Awards has 18 awards up for grabs and nominations are currently being judged by a panel of 20 high-profile industry legends, including Stemettes CEO Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE and House of Coco founder Laura Bartlett.
Categories include FinTech Innovator of the Year, Best Use of Innovation, Tech Company of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year.
TouchscreenRentals.co.uk, which provides specialist touchscreen hire and interactive software for events, product launches and exhibitions, is also sponsoring in the inaugural awards ceremony.
BusinessCloud editor Chris Maguire said: "The response to our inaugural national awards has been phenomenal and I’m pleased that both Jumpstart and TouchscreenRentals.co.uk have recognised the value of partnering with BusinessCloud.
"We were inundated with interest across all categories and our line-up of judges are pouring through the nominations as we speak. I can't wait to reveal the shortlist this month."
