Kantar has appointed Adam Crozier as its new chairman.

Crozier has previously led the Football Association and Royal Mail as well as ITV. He already serves as chairman of Asos, Whitbread and Vue cinemas.

Crozier advised on the sale of a majority £3.2 billion stake in Kantar to Bain last year.

“His experience at the intersection of advertising, media, retail and technology, alongside his track record of guiding management teams on transformation journeys, make him an excellent appointment to support Kantar in their next phase of growth,” said Bain MD Stuart Gent.

Crozier said: “Kantar is an outstanding company, unrivalled in its global reach and local presence. Its success, and opportunity, lies in the impact it delivers for clients.

“I am delighted to be joining this highly-skilled and dedicated global team and look forward to working with them, and all our brand partners.”

Kantar has a 30,000 workforce and is rumoured to be planning a flotation on the stock market.

Its CEO Eric Salama plans to step down in 2020 after he was injured in a stabbing last year.
