One of the highest-profile women in the North West business community is the latest big-name speaker confirmed for BusinessCloud’s Lancashire Powerhouse conference on April 19.

As well as being the head of corporate projects at Stobart Group, Kate Willard is the chair of Atlantic Gateway; chair of Liverpool City Region’s digital and creative board; and vice chair of Liverpool City Region Superport.

Willard joins a stellar line-up of confirmed speakers at the half-day conference, which will shine a light on Lancashire’s business credentials.

The event forms one of the main events at the annual St George’s Day Charity Festival, which is organised by entrepreneur David Haythornthwaite, chairman of Tangerine Group.

The event will take place in the marquee on Lytham Green, in Lytham, and will be chaired by award-winning journalist and editor of BusinessCloud Chris Maguire.

The half-day conference will hear from some of the county’s most successful businesses; look at the post-Brexit opportunities for exporters; highlight the rise of tech companies; examine Lancashire’s appeal to investors and developers; and look at the importance of the City Deal to the region.

In addition to Willard and Haythornthwaite, the other confirmed speakers are: Jeremy Lefton, managing director, Roundhouse Properties; Stephen Johnson, founder and director, ROQ; Matthew Hirst, CEO, Utiligroup; Mark Woodward, CEO of leading manufacturer Printed Cup Company; Paul Bailey, MD, Optimum Rx Group; Vibe Tickets MD Luke Massie; and David Jones, MD at VEKA UK.

  • The event is sponsored by Roundhouse Properties.
