Key appointment at hotly-tipped staffing app Deputy

Workforce management app Deputy has made a senior hire in its London office.

Marketing, sales and business development heavyweight Austin Armstrong has joined as VP enterprise sales for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).Since opening its London HQ in 2018, Deputy – based in Sydney, Australia – has scheduled five million UK shifts, representing 36m hours worked in the past year.

Deputy has seen unparalleled growth with a 100 per cent increase in the apps adoption, from SMEs through to enterprise businesses.

Analysis by the New York Times of the next wave of ‘unicorn’ start-ups ranked Deputy in the 50 fast-growth companies that may be on a path to achieving a $1 billion valuation.

“With our innovative technology Deputy is perfectly positioned to connect businesses and employees in sectors vital to the British economy, such as retail, hospitality and healthcare,” said EMEA general manager David Kelly.
