London- and New York based Eigen, a provider of natural language processing (NLP) tech, has appointed Spyros Karageorgis as its first Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Tony Ehrens as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Both will join Eigen’s executive team, with Spyros based in London and Tony in New York.

The firm’s technology enables clients to and extract answers from the language in documents, with the goal of better managing risk, scaling operations, and navigating dynamic regulatory environments.

Karageorgis brings with him extensive experience at AI and SaaS companies, including most recently as the CFO & COO of Cortexica Vision Systems, an AI image recognition company.

Prior to Cortexica, he led the dual track exit and IPO of Venda, an online SaaS e-commerce platform, which resulted in the company’s sale to NetSuite.

He also served as the COO of MedicAnimal, a Balderton-backed online animal pharmacy.

Ehrens joins Eigen with twenty years’ experience in senior software sales roles, including extensive sales experience at AI and SaaS companies. He joins Eigen from robotic process automation business Kryon Systems, where he was General Manager and VP Sales, Americas. Before that he was SVP Global Sales for Smart Process Automation SaaS platform WorkFusion and SVP of Sales at Sitrion.

Dr. Lewis Z. Liu, Co-founder & CEO of Eigen Technologies said of the appointments: “I am delighted to welcome executives of Spyros and Tony’s caliber to Eigen. Both bring highly relevant expertise and are leaders in their respective fields. It’s testament to how far we have already come as a business that we could attract them to Eigen.

Karageorgis said: “I have been particularly impressed with how Eigen combines both technical excellence with commercial acumen, something embodied by Lewis himself. As someone who combines a technical and corporate background, I know how powerful this can be.”

Ehrens added: “I am very excited to start working with the team to build on the company’s fantastic Q3 sales performance and ensuring that we have the best B2B SaaS sales team. We will win in market when we deliver value and great service for our customers.”
