Swedish tech company Wiraya has appointed a new CEO.

Johan Jardevall will be taking over from Oskar Klingberg, who held the positon for almost eight years.

The company is one of the fastest-growing marketing tech SaaS companies in Europe, with offices in Stockholm, London, and Malta.

Jardevall recently served as chief sales officer at EPiServer after working for digital agency Valtech, where he founded and grew the agency to become a NMA top 100 UK digital agency in two years.

“Wiraya has proven to be in the forefront of creating human, yet automated customer interactions to large brands’ customers,” said Jardevall.

“The demand for automation, personalisation and smooth digital customer interactions is increasing all over the world.

“This is the perfect time to join them and I’m very excited to take Wiraya into the future.”

Founded in 2008, Wiraya is a ‘managed mobile customer activation’ software that seeks to improve brands’ customer experience KPIs. It uses data-driven insights to generate voice, text and mobile messaging to inspire action from customers.

The artificial intelligence firm was previously awarded €2 million in innovation grants by the European Commission.

The company uses AI to predict and adapt when, what and how to communicate with each customer and enables personalised automated customer dialogues.

“I’m extremely excited to bring Johan Jardevall on board,” said Gustav Lagercrantz, founder and chairman of the board of Wiraya.

“He has a strong track record of achieving rapid growth and a deep passion for marketing technology and digital customer experiences.

“He is the right leader for Wiraya as we continue to scale and expand our global reach.”
