DigitalBridge, the award-winning mixed reality tech company based in Manchester, has appointed a new head of research.

Ilaria Gori will lead the computer vision and machine learning research team to drive new technology innovations for the North West business.

Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Gori was lead data scientist at Innovative Technology, a provider of cash handling technology.

DigitalBridge uses augmented reality, computer vision and machine learning to allow customers to “try on” décor products in their own kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.

“I’ve always loved working with innovative companies who bring solutions to the market that nobody else has thought of,” Gori said.

“I can’t wait to contribute to the ongoing success of DigitalBridge and help to push the boundaries of what we can make this exciting technology do.”

Chief executive David Levine added: “We’re delighted to have Ilaria on board to help shape our investment strategies and ensure we deliver innovative, market leading solutions to our customers.

“She has a wealth of experience and impressive expertise to bring to the company, so will be a great asset to our research division.”
