New CEO at employee benefits app Perkbox

Employee platform Perkbox has appointed Gautam Sahgal as CEO, effective immediately.

Saurav Chopra, the co-founder who previously led the business will step into a new role of Executive Chairman of the Board, advising and mentoring the leadership team and helping with strategic growth initiatives.

Sahgal joined Perkbox as COO in January 2016 and was appointed Managing Director in October 2019.

He will be charged with driving the venture’s continued global expansion and scaling its products including card-linking service PerksGo, Perkbox Medical and Perkbox Insights.

Perkbox’s app was launched as an employee benefits platform in 2015 and initially focussed on offering retail discounts. It has since evolved to out to offer, financial, physical and social wellbeing offerings and a employee surveying platform.

It now operates internationally with headquarters in London and offices in Sheffield and Australia. It works with over 7,500 businesses and brands in over 30 countries.

Sahgal said of his appointment: “There is no company on earth where I would rather be CEO than Perkbox.
