A new data analysis company in Lancashire has already helped one client save £2.5 million in an acquisition.

Lancaster-based Miralis Data offers algorithms, simulation, modelling, artificial intelligence and machine learning services.

Founded by Dr Will Maden and Michael Gibson, it helped another client achieve 11 per cent efficiency savings across a 100-strong fleet of HGVs.

Its client base includes the Co-Op Group, Europcar, British Car Auctions, Routemonkey and Marketing Lancashire.

Commercial director Michael Gibson said: “I’m delighted to be launching the project with Dr Will Maden – he is the data genius behind Miralis.

“His 14 years at the forefront of delivering data analysis and the resulting improvements for companies is a superb foundation for the company.

“Already before the official launch we have been able to make an incredible impact for several huge brands.

“There is endless potential now for machine learning and it is very exciting to have a Lancashire-based business at the forefront of this industry.”
