Phillipa Winter is the chief informatics Officer (CIO ) for the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust.

Phillipa has a wealth of experience in the NHS, having qualified in 1994 as an occupational therapist.

She has held many clinical and management roles in a variety of care settings, culminating in therapy manager in 2012.  

Since then, through project management roles she has led on a variety of business change projects.  Her passion in all change projects is to provide leadership, ensure clinical engagement and clinically led delivery, ensuring adoption and engagement of stakeholders.

In 2013 Phillipa became one of the four chief clinical informatics officers representing AHPs in the Trust and in 2015 made the transition from CCIO to CIO.

Phillipa is a member of the North West Informatics Skills Network Strategy Board and Future Leaders Steering Group, is one of the vice chairs for events for the BCS ( British Computer Society ), and is passionate about driving leadership and professionalism in informatics, multi-agency partnership working, sharing best practice and leading change, all in partnership with the clinical workforce to deliver informatics programmes making it better for service users and staff in the whole health economy.
