RightIndem has appointed Amanda Blanc as its non-executive chair.

She will help the London-based digital claims provider deliver its ambition of fundamentally changing the way customers experience insurance at the point of claim.

Blanc is also taking on the role of independent non-executive chair of Aviva.

She will also undertake the roles of non-executive director and chair-designate of ERSSML at specialist motor insurer ERS, as well as non-executive director of its holding company ERS DGB Ltd.

“I have had the privilege of meeting many great InsurTechs and start-ups as I pulled together my portfolio over the last few months,” said Blanc.

“In RightIndem I found a really special team with an elegant software solution that can be easily adopted by insurance claims providers.

“Bringing new thinking into the industry is something I have been advocating for some time and I look forward to helping RightIndem in their efforts to do just that.”

Blanc has enjoyed a 30-year senior insurance career in the UK and Europe.

Oliver McGuinness, RightIndem CEO, said: “We are delighted to have Amanda on board and are really pleased that she believes in our vision.

“Her credentials and experience are second to none and I am confident she will help us become the digital claims solution of choice for the industry.”

With Blanc’s appointment, Rob Wirszycz, who had served as chair since the formation of RightIndem moves to a new role as vice chairman on the board, with responsibility for investor relations.
